Residential cleaning
If its possible to clean them, we’ll do it! we clean residential panels whether roof or ground mounted for $10 per panel. So, however many panels you have, add a zero behind that number and there’s your quote. The only factors that change this is accessibility of the panels and the pitch of the roof. It is preferable to get on the roof where it is easier to use our soft bristle brushes to disturb any hard dirt on the panels. It is still possible to clean panels from the ground with extension poles, but definitely harder and it takes much longer.
We are often asked what we do to clean the panels. Its not a trade secret, we rinse them off to get any small rocks or hard bird poop off to prevent them from scratching the panels when we wash them. Next, we wash them using a very mild eco friendly solution. This is important, because some solar companies will void the warranty for using certain chemicals. Lastly, we rinse them with deionized water to avoid leaving hard water stains when they dry.
Commercial cleaning
It is considered “commercial” when there are 100 or more panels, the panels are organized in a solar field, or when the panels are mounted to a commercial structure. We clean commercial panels at $12.50 per panel, but reduce the price to $10 per panels for 500 or more panels. Other factors that affect the cost is accessibility of water. If there isn’t water available within 100 feet of the panels, there is an additional “Water Charge” for us to transport the water needed on site. This starts at $500 and increases depending on the location and number of tank trips that will be needed to complete the cleaning.
